Blois / Vendôme

Equidistant from our hotel, Vendôme and Châteaudun, both crossed by the Loir, propose lovely discoveries full of charm. Vendôme, City of Art and History, the picturesque houses of its Saint-Martin’s square, the shops of the rue du Change, its feudal castle overlooking the old town, the Abbey of the Trinity and of course, the banks of the Loir bordered by pretty houses and spanned by numerous bridges. Châteaudun, classified among the "100 most beautiful sites in France", its perched castle, its old mansions which stand along the picturesque streets of the old town as well as its prehistoric caves will seduce you.

A little further away, situated on the banks of the royal river, Blois reveals a remarkable architectural heritage as well as exceptional natural sites in its immediate environment (little Beauce, ecological site Natura 2000 and Sologne).

Many witnesses of its past remain with in mind, the royal castle, former residence of the kings of France, which has the distinction of bringing together several architectural styles: Gothic, Flamboyant Gothic, Italian Renaissance and Classical. A wonderful range of French architecture ...

Only 12 km from our hotel, the Renaissance Château de Talcy reveals all its poetry. It is indeed, Cassandre, the daughter of its first owner who inspired the famous poem by Ronsard, "Mignone, let's see if the rose .... Inspiration shared elsewhere by your hosts, Vincent and Annie who named their Cassandre girl.

And of course, from Oucques, you can take the Loire castles route and visit the essential Chenonceau, Cheverny, Chambord, Amboise ... which offer a rendezvous with history.

As for lovers of nature, hiking and golf, they will appreciate the proximity of the Bosse golf course which is only 6 km away and the Marchenoir forest plateau 7 km away.
